Try Hockey or Goalie for Free

Welcome

Welcome!

So that we can be sure to have enough staff on hand for all attendees, if you will be bringing more than one child, please complete a registration for each child- thank you.

Try Hockey for Free is an informal opportunity for inexperienced skaters (generally 3-10 years old, but not limited) to come out and do just that- try hockey for free!  We will have staff on the ice with the kids and, for those who are not able to skate, we have skate aids available for them to use as well.  Kids that are able to skate can use a stick and puck.  If after attending Try Hockey for Free you would like to register for one of our Beginner Hockey classes our staff can get you information for that as well.

Try Goalie for Free is for experienced players who are interested in the position of goalie.  Kids can suit up in goalie gear and head out onto the ice to see what it is like to be in the net.  Staff will be available to assist and even give them some shots to block!

No equipment? No problem!  We have hockey helmets, skates & hockey sticks and goalie gear at the ice arena for the kids to use, free of charge.  The temperature in the ice arena is around 50 degrees, so you will want to dress them accordingly.  They should also wear gloves or mittens- especially kids that can't skate, in case they fall so their hands don't get cold.

Parents are also welcome to come out onto the ice with their child.  You will just need to wear a helmet and indicate on this RSVP that you will also be coming on the ice.  (Note: We have a limited number of adult helmets for use and cannot guarantee we will have one available when you arrive.  We recommend bringing one if you have one.)
